Port Hills and no dab into Sumner

Port Hills has become a favorite ride of mine over night- but how could it not with awesome climbs, views, skinny single track and a choice of flowing trails or more technical ups and downs (well for me anyhow!). I now head out at least twice a week up the Rapaki Track to then have a choice of the route into Sumner or Evens Track into Victoria Park. Both are excellent!

My last ride into Sumner was very memorable as I did not dab (foot down) on the long and windy rocky decent. After just riding it three times I was very chuffed! I just could not stop smiling. Good times! The Google Earth file for this ride is simply breath taking and I highly recommend you download it and view this beautiful region.

<smug bastard> Did I mention it’s only 10 mins away from my home :D </smug bastard>
