Easter weekend- Bottlelake Forest

Friday was spent at Bottlelake Park with some sweet single track in dense pine and shore trails. I then met up with my wife and two dogs for coffee and cake at the cafe there (which over looks a jump park and north style setup for the young ones- or old ones who should know better). I’m coming to realise that this park is not just a heap of fun, but is PERFECT for rigid riding- if not single speed rigid riding!

Yesterday (Monday) I met up with John and a chap called Scott whom I sold my Giro Atmos helmet to on Vorb. Scott being a XC racer was also bloody fast and John and I were out of the seat (off seat hammering, down, spin, out of seat hammering) for nearly 2 hrs chasing him through the singletrack….holy moley he is a wippet…. it was alot of fun (and um… exhausting!). I also decided to throw the Pace rigid forks back on the bike too and what a joy they were! and perfect choice for the park!

Hopefully John and I will get a night ride in this week :) *charges lights*
