Mcleans Island – Christchurch

Got a phone call early this morning from Craig to see if I wanted to join him and his new flat mate for a spin at Mcleans Island. Why not!

It was really dry out there with the smell of pine and warm breezes, which was so nice. What amazed me as we discussed the tracks on the drive there was that I’ve not ridden the track during the day (or dry!) and this was Craigs first time there since arriving in Christchurch last summer. Craig has also been off the bike since an accident skiing in Canada back in January… so he was stoked to be out on a bike again.

Two laps later we then headed off to freshen up before meeting back in the city and some more people for some serious chatting and food! The ride back after filling my belly with food was kinda clumsy though. Brilliant!

Oh and it got to 22degs today :/ Suuuwweet!
