This training “lark” is kind of new to me (well let’s not forget the 6 months of work for the Kepler…) and I use the term “train” quite loosely these days too. Either way, a weekly plan that consists of a few set days and workouts is where I’m at with my fitness at present which works pretty well for keeping the base there. I’m kinda forgetful though and like to keep stuff in a place where I can reflect on what I’ve done- and in particular how I felt during and afterward. I’ve got so much better though- but I’m keen to keep a record of what i’m upto.
Anyway, I’ve setup a “wee” blog that will be a really simple diary of what I get upto during the week- and any training for events too. The wordy stuff – and quite often with photos – will be saved here at www.paulpetch.com. What I aim to record there is what I did (with distance etc), the intensity, how I was feeling during and afterward and how the body and mind feels overall. Basically….it will be an electronic training diary. I’ve tried writing this all down in a book and an Excel spread sheet on the laptop…but it does not really work, so hopefully this idea will.
I could just add this stuff here- but it will look terrible- too minimal- and quite frankly who want’s to see this kind of stuff anyhow? If you are interested, you can of course grab the RSS feed- or get updates via my Twitter. (in between the other shit of course).
